W.I.C.K.E.D. Launch – 16th March 2016

On Wednesday 16th March 2016 staff from Warrigal Employment and New Careers for Aboriginal People.  The launch was celebrated with Community, Business and services coming together to support this initiative.

 

We are now securing employment opportunities for the event and seeking jobseekers that would like to participate on the day and potential find employment or a new career pathway.

 

A big thank you goes to the staff of Warrigal Employment for the hard work in preparing for the launch and their continued commitment to ensuring we have a successful day.  Thank you to all our special guest that attended and spoke on the day about their experiences.

New office addresses

Myimbarr Out of Home Care (Foster Care) has moved from 335 Crown Street Wollongong to 3/1 Rawson Street Wollongong. “Rawson House” is straight up Crown Lane from the new part of Wollongong Central shopping centre. The phone number remains the same 02 4226 3358.

Our Going Home Staying Home and Housing programs have also moved into Rawson House on level 1. Their new phone number is 4229 4317 and their new fax number is 4225 9820.

 

 

Closing the Gap Prescriptions and Practice Incentive Programs

OCT 2014 – Medicare Local, Aboriginal Community Transport, Indigenous Community Links and Windang Local Pharmacy are hosting an information session on Closing the Gap prescriptions and the Practise Incentives Program/PIP at Warrigal Employment (The Land). Community Nurses from Windang Pharmacy will also provide a Basic Health Check.

Major building modifications

MAY 2014 – The Department of Education (Australian Government) is funding a major project to improve and renovate Noogaleek Children’s Centre so that our premises meets or exceeds the health, safety and licensing requirements of the National Quality Standards. The Department of Education and the building contractors will aim to minimise any disruptions to child care and education. We will notify parents and caregivers of any expected disruptions. Work will commence in early July 2014.
