Our Organisation

The Illawarra Aboriginal Corporation (IAC) is a not for profit organisation dedicated to meeting the social, cultural and economic needs of Aboriginal people in the Illawarra region. The organisation currently delivers a range of programs including housing, aged care, child care, emergency relief, employment and training, and child, youth and family services.

Legislation

The Illawarra Aboriginal Corporation is incorporated under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 and is supported and regulated by the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations.

Structure

The Illawarra Aboriginal Corporation is governed by a Board of 12 Aboriginal Directors with 4 positions being reelected each year at our Annual General Meeting.
