The Illawarra Aboriginal Corporation (IAC) is a not for profit organisation dedicated to meeting the social, cultural and economic needs of Aboriginal people in the Illawarra region. The organisation currently delivers a range of programs including housing, aged care, child care, emergency relief, employment and training, and child, youth and family services.

Helping our community to succeed

The IAC has offices throughout the Illawarra region with the Cultural Centre and Keeping Place in Kenny Street, Wollongong providing administration and management of our home care, cultural services, emergency relief and housing programs.

Our Myimbarr Aboriginal Family Support program operates from Crown Street, Wollongong and manages our Child, Youth and Family Services (including our Homelessness Action Plan, Out of Home Care and Learning Centre). Myimbarr also has an office in Central Avenue, Oak Flats for our Protecting Aboriginal Children Together program.

Warrigal Employment provides Employment and Training services from Bakers Lane, Windang and a Community Links program from Lake Entrance Road, Warilla.

Noogaleek Children’s Centre operates a Day Care Centre (0 to 6) and Winnanggay PreSchool (3 to 6) in Berkeley.
